Prepared digital product

Keep your pricing logic. Reuse it on the next quote.

PracticalKit Pro Quote Engine is the spreadsheet companion to the free calculators: an editable workbook for freelancers who repeatedly price client projects and want reusable assumptions, quote structure and project-economics checks in one offline file.

Planned launch price: $19 one-time · no subscription

One client project can reuse the workbook from baseline to post-project review. Keep the assumptions behind your price, the quote structure, payment split and actual delivery economics in one file instead of rebuilding the reasoning for every job.

Built around the parts freelancers most often forget to price: discovery, meetings, QA/testing, deployment, revisions, admin and other hidden delivery work. Recent freelancer discussions repeatedly surface these omissions as a source of underquoting, especially on first projects.

Market check · 30 Sep 2026: several current freelancer proposal/SOW competitors use recurring plans or account-gated free tiers. PracticalKit's differentiator is narrower: a one-time offline XLSX workflow, while the core browser calculators remain free and no-signup.

Public checkout is not active yet — no payment is being accepted on this page.

Start from your real floor

Keep income targets, overhead, reserves and realistic billable capacity together instead of rebuilding your baseline for every quote.

Price the work around the work

Translate delivery time into a fixed fee while making meetings, QA/testing, deployment, revisions, admin, complexity, urgency and uncertainty visible before you send the number.

Structure the cash flow

Model deposits and remaining balances so the payment schedule is part of the quote rather than an afterthought.

Review what actually worked

Compare project price, direct costs and delivery time so the next quote can learn from the last project.

No-checkout demo

Preview the workflow before deciding whether it is worth paying for.

This is the decision flow the workbook is designed around. The live browser calculators remain free, and a real XLSX sample is now available so you can inspect formulas, editable inputs and the Baseline → Quote → Payment → Review structure before checkout exists.

1 · BaselineSet income, costs, reserves and sellable capacity.
2 · QuoteAdd delivery effort and project risk to build a defensible fee.
3 · PaymentSplit the fee into deposit and milestone balances.
4 · ReviewCompare quoted economics with actual hours and costs.
Example: if your internal floor is $75/hour and a project needs 40 delivery hours, the workbook is meant to preserve that baseline, layer the project assumptions on top, structure the deposit, and later compare the quote with the actual delivery result. It is a planning workflow, not a promise that a client will accept a particular price.

Why $19

A one-time price benchmarked against live alternatives.

As checked on 30 September 2026, current freelancer workflow products often monetize with recurring plans: SowFast lists Solo at $19/month, QuikPact Pro at $7.99/month, ScopedWork Pro at $6/month and PitchFlow Pro at $29/month. PracticalKit's planned $19 is deliberately different: one payment for an offline workbook, with the core browser tools remaining free.

What $19 is for

Reusable assumptions, connected quote/payment/review logic, an editable offline XLSX and a workflow you can carry from one client project to the next.

What stays free

The browser calculators, proposal/SOW helpers and operational checklists remain usable without signup. Paying is for reuse and continuity, not access to basic math.

Benchmark sources checked 30 Sep 2026: SowFast ($19/month Solo) · QuikPact ($7.99/month Pro) · ScopedWork ($6/month Pro) · PitchFlow ($29/month Pro). Third-party prices may change.

Purchase-readiness checklist

What must be true before paid checkout goes live.

We will only replace the preview state with a buy button after the payment route and digital delivery are verified end to end. The product page is intentionally separating what is already ready from what still requires payment-provider setup.

Ready now

Product positioning, $19 planned launch price, free-tool value ladder, downloadable XLSX sample, reusable workflow demo and no-macro file format.

Still gated

Payment-provider account/KYC, verified checkout, post-payment delivery of the full workbook, receipt flow, digital-content consumer disclosures/consent where applicable, and a real end-to-end purchase test.

File & delivery specification

Know exactly what the paid product is meant to deliver.

Format

One editable XLSX workbook with no macros. It requires spreadsheet software capable of opening .xlsx files; exact compatibility claims will be verified before checkout opens.

Delivery

The paid file will only be offered after an automated post-payment download route, receipt flow and end-to-end purchase test are working. Until then, only the free sample is available.

For EU consumer sales of downloadable digital content, checkout must also present the required pre-contract information and, where immediate download is used, capture the consumer's express consent and acknowledgement concerning withdrawal rights before performance starts. This launch gate is not yet implemented.

Try before checkout exists

Use the complete free browser toolkit first.

The free tools cover rates, project quotes, retainers, paid discovery, change orders, payment terms, late-payment calculations, project profit and proposal copy. Pro is for repeated reuse and scenario work, not for hiding the core calculation behind a paywall.

One connected decision loop

Baseline → Quote → Payment → Review keeps the assumptions that produced a price next to the result you actually delivered, so the next quote can learn from the last one.

Different from a calculator directory

The free site solves one-off questions instantly. The paid workbook is deliberately narrower: a reusable operating file for freelancers who quote projects repeatedly and want continuity between pricing, payment structure and post-project review.

Pro workbook FAQ

Can I buy it now?

Not yet. The workbook is prepared, but public checkout has not been activated or verified, so this page does not collect payment. The buy button will only appear after payment and file delivery pass an end-to-end test.

What will it cost?

The planned launch price is $19 as a one-time purchase, with no subscription. This is the intended launch price while checkout is being prepared and may be reviewed before sales open.

Why pay if the calculators are free?

The free tools are for one calculation at a time. Pro is intended for freelancers who want to retain assumptions, compare scenarios, remember hidden delivery work and reuse the same spreadsheet workflow across projects without re-entering everything.

Can I inspect a real file first?

Yes. Download the free XLSX sample above. It contains Baseline, Quote, Payment, Review and Read Me sheets with editable inputs and formula-driven outputs.

What format is the workbook?

Editable XLSX with no macros, designed to be opened in common spreadsheet software.

Does this replace accounting or legal advice?

No. It is a commercial planning tool. Tax, contract and statutory payment rules depend on your circumstances and jurisdiction.
